Estate Left to The Stars

A 71-year-old man who died last July has recently made headlines, as it has been revealed that the man’s will left his entire estate to two actors he had never met.

Under the will, actors Kevin Brophy and Peter Barton will spit Ray Fulk’s estate, which is valued at an estimated one million dollars. According to the attorney who drafted the will, Donald Behle, “He just said [Brophy and Barton] were friends of his.” At the time of drafting, Behle knew the pair were actors, but did not realize that Fulk had never met them.

According to the State Journal-Register, Fulk was a fan of Barton and Brophy’s television work. Barton is best known for his portrayal as Dr. Scott Grainger in daytime soap opera, “The Young and the Restless.” One of Brophy’s more notable works was the show “Lucan.” Fulk had a poster for the television show Lucan in his home.

Upon hearing the news, Barton flew out to Fulk’s Lincoln, Illinois, property to see if the letter revealing the inheritance was real. According to Attorney Behle, “His reaction was disbelief.” Barton and Brophy will both receive checks once Fulk’s estate is sold. The resolution of the estate will be relatively simple, as no relatives of Fulk have come forward to contest the will.
